Product Introduction
Xunda bitumen butyl tape coating is a professional cold-applied anti-corrosion solution developed in-house by our company.Made of premium modified bitumen blended with butyl rubber, the tape is firmly coated onto high-strength polypropylene woven fabric or polyethylene film backing.
It combines anti-corrosion, water sealing and mechanical protection all in one material. It is widely used for buried and aboveground steel pipelines in petroleum, natural gas, water supply and chemical industries. It also fits perfectly for waterproof and anti-corrosion works on tanks, roofs, bridges and culverts.
Main Performance Features
This tape delivers strong self-adhesion and good conformability on steel pipes, primed surfaces and itself. It stays flexible and viscoelastic all the time without hardening or cracking, adapting naturally to pipeline thermal expansion and contraction.
It provides excellent vapor barrier ability, effectively resisting moisture, acid, alkali and saline soil erosion. It can withstand long-term buried conditions and strong soil stress without deformation or damage.
Great resistance to cathodic disbondment makes it fully compatible with pipeline cathodic protection systems. It also features good UV aging performance and stable property in a wide temperature range, no flowing at high temperature and no cracking at low temperature.
The whole system adopts cold wrapping construction, no heating nor special equipment required. It can be applied either manually or by automatic wrapping machine, helping save construction time and lower overall project cost.
The product line meets ASTM D1000, EN 12068, DIN 30672 and relevant international standards, fully qualified for both domestic and overseas engineering projects.
