Basic Characteristics of Aluminum Tape
Aluminum tape consists of aluminum foil and adhesive. The aluminum foil itself has good waterproof and high-temperature resistance. The aluminum foil layer effectively blocks moisture penetration, while the choice of adhesive determines the overall performance of the tape. Common aluminum tapes maintain stability within a certain temperature range, but specific temperature resistance needs to be confirmed according to the product instructions.

Actual Waterproof Performance
The waterproof performance of aluminum tape mainly depends on the sealing properties of the aluminum foil. In scenarios such as pipe joints and roof repairs, properly applied aluminum tape can form an effective waterproof barrier. However, it should be noted that under prolonged immersion or high-pressure water conditions, the adhesive may gradually fail, affecting the waterproof effect.

Limitations in High-Temperature Resistance
The high-temperature resistance of aluminum tape is greatly affected by the type of adhesive. Ordinary aluminum tape can typically withstand temperatures of 80-150°C, while special high-temperature resistant tapes can withstand temperatures above 200°C. When using in high-temperature environments, it is recommended to test the adhesive strength of the tape beforehand to avoid detachment due to excessive temperature.
