Apply after putty dries: When painting walls, anti-corrosion primer should generally be applied after the putty is completely dry. Usually, two coats of anti-corrosion primer are needed. Depending on the painting requirements, anti-corrosion primer is generally classified as a first coat or a second coat.
Add more water to dilute the paint: Because walls have a large paint-absorbing surface area, a slightly larger amount of water needs to be added when diluting the anti-corrosion primer. This ensures even application. Topcoat, on the other hand, is generally applied in three coats and should not be diluted with as much water as the anti-corrosion primer. Adding too much water will affect the feel, thickness, and hardness of the paint film.
