Xunda T100 anti-corrosion tape and T200 mechanical protection tape compose a multi-layer protection set, shielding buried and overhead steel pipelines for water, gas and oil delivery from corrosion. Both types adopt two-layer structure, combining polyethylene base film and butyl rubber adhesive layer. T100 applies as inner tape, and T200 serves as outer protective tape.
We can coat pipeline surface with Xunda liquid primer beforehand. The primer itself plays anti-corrosion role, and forms smooth surface to help tapes stick firmly on pipes.
The tape fits closely on primed surfaces and has good flexibility. Inner anti-corrosion tape and outer protection tape can bond tightly together.
The system can be used with a wrapping machine or by hand.
System Features
Featuring a polyethylene film base and butyl rubber adhesive layer, this composite tape forms a seamless, full-wrap protective sleeve. It delivers durable anti-corrosion and sealing performance, blocking penetration of water vapor, acid, alkali, salt fog and corrosive soil. It also boasts great resistance to cathodic delamination and matches cathodic protection systems well, fundamentally preventing pipeline electrochemical corrosion.
The high-tensile polyethylene backing offers superior mechanical protection and tear resistance. It effectively withstands soil stress, stratum displacement, external friction and mechanical compression, avoiding coating damage during construction and underground burial. The tight bonding between T100 inner tape and T200 outer tape forms a dual-layer protective structure, significantly boosting the overall impact resistance of the pipeline anti-corrosion system.
This cold-applied adhesive requires no heating during construction, compatible with most base materials. It supports both manual wrapping and professional mechanical winding. With a stable working temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, it maintains reliable performance across different seasons and regional environments. It works well on various substrates including steel, ductile iron, FBE epoxy coatings, PE coatings and plastic pipes.
The polyethylene base material features excellent UV resistance and aging stability. It will not chalk, crack or fade under long-term outdoor exposure, keeping consistent protective performance. The butyl rubber adhesive layer has outstanding chemical stability, resisting aging and degradation in humid and corrosive environments, and greatly extending the service life of pipeline anti-corrosion protection.
Thanks to its strong adhesion and flexible fitting performance, the tape can closely wrap pipeline welds, elbows, tees, flanges, valves and other special-shaped components with full coverage and no dead corners. It compensates for the poor fitting defect of traditional anti-corrosion materials on irregular parts, realizing comprehensive protection for the entire pipeline system.
