Polyethylene insulated tape is a corrosion-resistant material formed by co-extruding an adhesive layer primarily composed of butyl rubber and petroleum resin. It exhibits excellent insulation properties, superior corrosion resistance, high aging resistance, low water absorption rate, broad application range, and long service life.

The substrate consists of high-and low-density synthetic polyethylene films. The adhesive layer is composed of a highly viscous thermoplastic-modified butyl self-adhesive anticorrosive adhesive applied over an anti-adhesive isolation film.

It exhibits strong self-adhesion and self-fusion capability, along with excellent waterproofing and sealing properties. It demonstrates high electrical insulation performance, outstanding and stable aging resistance, and robust resistance to ultraviolet radiation.

Widely used in external corrosion protection projects for steel pipelines in urban construction, including water supply and drainage systems as well as oil, gas, and natural gas transmission networks.

No heating or specialized equipment is required; it can be manually or mechanically wound, adapting to various field conditions.
The polyvinyl membrane exhibits strong insulation properties, while the butyl adhesive layer ensures excellent sealing performance and low water absorption rate, effectively blocking moisture and corrosive media.
The substrate incorporates anti-aging ingredients, while the butyl adhesive layer exhibits excellent weather resistance, showing minimal aging or powdering even when used outdoors or buried.
It exhibits high tensile strength and moderate elongation at break, enabling it to withstand soil stress, friction, and impact without easy damage.
It exhibits excellent adhesion, allowing tight fitting onto irregular shapes such as welds, elbows, and tees, with a uniformly consistent coating thickness.
It is compatible with various substrates including steel, ductile iron, FBE (fused epoxy), and PE (polyethylene) coatings.
The material complies with international corrosion protection standards such as ASTM D 1000, EN 12068, and DIN 30672.
The butyl rubber layer exhibits self-adhesive properties, allowing it to heal itself upon minor damage, thereby enhancing corrosion resistance reliability.
