The XUNDA Bitumen coating System is a cold applied coating system designed for the corrosion protection water,oil gas underground or aboveground pipelines,electrolysis on below grade metal substrate and waterproofing for the basement,roof,bridge etc.The Bitumen coating System consists of a polyethylene backing laminated with rubberized bitumen.
XUNDA liquid adhesive can be used as primers for this system.It provides a strong cohesive bond to the primed steel surface.
The system can be applied by hand or with a wrapping machine.

System Features
The rubber-modified asphalt adhesive layer forms a continuous, seamless protective coating on the substrate surface and has remarkable adhesion and sealing qualities. In addition to exhibiting exceptional resistance to cathodic delamination and compatibility with cathodic protection systems, it successfully stops the penetration of water vapor, acid/alkali/salt mist, and corrosive soil media, thereby suppressing electrochemical corrosion at its source. Its incredibly low water vapor permeability guarantees consistent, long-lasting moisture-proofing and waterproofing.
In order to minimize coating damage during construction and use, the tape's high-strength fiber backing gives it remarkable tensile strength and tear resistance, allowing it to bear soil stress, stratum displacement, external friction, and mechanical compression. A strong protective structure is created after several layers are twisted together, greatly improving impact and puncture resistance.
Direct application can be carried out at room temperature without the need for heating or specialist equipment, allowing both manual operation and specialized winding machines and greatly lowering construction costs and safety hazards. With great construction efficiency, the product adapts to different seasonal and regional site conditions while maintaining steady performance across a broad temperature range of -20°C to +80°C.
Strong chemical stability and resistance to aging and deterioration in humid or corrosive settings are characteristics of the modified asphalt adhesive layer. Anti-aging components are incorporated into the fiber backing, which exhibits exceptional UV resistance. Even after extended usage in outdoor or subterranean environments, it stays stable without fading, cracking, or powdering, hence increasing the protective system's service life.
It demonstrates remarkable compatibility with a wide range of substrates, including concrete, steel, ductile iron, FBE sintered epoxy coatings, PE polyethylene coatings, and plastic pipes. The tape efficiently addresses the shortcomings of conventional materials in managing irregular surfaces by providing exceptional conformability that permits tight adherence to pipe welds, elbows, tees, flanges, and other irregular surfaces for complete protection without blind spots.
